All-day Entertainment
 Famous Market in full swing

 Lantern Procession

One of the major events on Skipton's calendar is the famous Medieval Yuletide Festival.

Visitors travel from all over the country to experience the atmosphere of our historic town on these special days. Entertainment is provided throughout the town with the centre-piece being the realistic fighting displays performed by the Harlech Medieval Society.

Many of the shopkeepers and stallholders can be seen in period costume, and a superb day is had by all.

All Skipton's individual shops are open, and the famous market is in full swing, so these are also ideal days for Christmas Shopping.

The days' entertainment culminates in a spectacular Lantern Procession through the High Street, which is followed by Carol Singing in the Churchyard.
