The 'Chamber Pot' donated £1000 to worthy recipients for 2013 - 2014
On Remembrance Sunday, before they all proudly paraded through Skipton, Amanda Casey (Vice President) presented a cheque for £250.00 to Janet Newton, Division Commissioner, of the Skipton Guide Association and a cheque for £250 to the leader of 5th Skipton Scouts, Cubs and Beavers.
Janet Newton thanked the Chamber on behalf of all Skipton Brownies for this generous contribution and said it would be put towards the celebrations allowing the girls to enjoy a big party, without incurring costs, and to ease the burden of their own fundraising for this event.
The Scout leaders were very grateful for their donation which will be used at 'The Dump’ to help with a major refurbishment as it reaches its 100th birthday this year.
